Is Honda still shipping only 5,000 per year to the US? If so, that would make it impossible for the S2000 to get on that list. Many of the greatest cars will never be on the best seller list simply because of production, not consumption.

Good point that 7 of the top 15 are 2+2 verts, so it's possible the S2000 is one of the top '2-seat sports cars'.
MB sells a lot ove verts with 3 of the top 12 on the list as well as the number one 2-seat vert on the list the SLK.
MB SL sells 10K units with a price (probably) around $100K per in the US. which makes it one of the most expensive volume produced cars. MB probably sells another 10K-20K SLs around the world (although they do have cheaper V6 entry level SLs in other markets as well as diesels) whear as (I think) the Vette sells paltry numbers outside the US.

All of the cars on that list are available with an automatic transmission.
Enlighten the general bumbling idiot driver populous to the wonders of rowing through a teriffic manual gearbox and the S2k will sell more. Until that happens...

they hardly put any advertising into the s2000. how many commercials, magazine ads, billboards, etc. do you see for the s2k?
