It would be nice to find one as minimally optioned as possible, like this perhaps:

Stock 18" wheels
Bi-Xenon headlights, $990
PASM, $1,990
Sport seats, $670
Sport steering wheel, $250

Is Porsche the kind that has dealers who only maintain stock of cars which are optioned to a fare-thee-well? That would really piss me off if I was shopping for a Boxster. It's one think I really liked about the S2000. No factory options except the color.

Why are you asking S2000 owners about a Porsche? Wouldn't this be more informational coming from Porsche owners? Would you ask Porsche owners about mod-ing a S? Just asking.

because you don't need to own a porsche to know what xenon lights are...

you do know what those are, don't you?

your car has them.....

Which car?

Yes, I know what they are, but I still don't understand why you would ask an S owner how to option a BS.

Here is a picture of the center console painted to exterior color (in this case midnight blue metallic -- the best color in my opinion). It is a cheap option and worth it in my view.

The shifter looks... bulky. Does it feel that way?

I just noticed the "turbo" on the door sil and the hard-top, so it looks like this isn't the Boxster. And actually, as I look at the proportions of the hand-brake, etc around the shifter, it doesn't look quite as big as I first thought.
