they are all the same engine, just tuned differently...
civic si uses the engine from the base rsx, which has 160 hp..
civic type-r shares the same engine with rsx type-s, which has 200hp...
the dc-5 type-r also uses the same engine, but has 217hp..

i guess you can have a base rsx or a civic si tuned to have 200hp or greater...
but it's still not gonna perform the same..
my car already have nearly as much horsepower(215hp) as the '02 ITR.. or greater after i slap a full catback exhaust (226hp?).. but it still will not perform nearly as good as the '02 ITR.. i still dont have the lsd, stiffer suspension, bigger breaks ... etc... the type-r offers..

ah well, I guess I'll try to answer this seriously...

from here:
http://www.acura.com/model_RSX/rsx_spec_results.asp

the biggest difference seem to be:
max rpm (redline) - 7900 vs 6800 (higher RPM = more hp)
compression ratio - 11:0:1 vs 9.8:1 (I'm assuming this explains the RSX-S' slight torque advantage)

i guess what he meant was what are the differences in internal components of them cars...

correct me if i am wrong since i am no expert...
i dont know about civic si and CTR.. but i have heard other people said that the type-s of rsx has longer exhaust pipe than the base rsx.. also the base does not have the extra valve spring to allow the higher rpm... the intake manifold also different.. compression ratio is different, so the pistons are different??..
go to www.clubrsx.com and do a simple search and you should be able to find alot of info regarding your question..
