There are scores of fantastic high-performing automobiles available to the public today. With increased competition, it seems they are feeling the need to stand out from the crowd. And to do that, many are resorting to radical styling. Not a bad thing in theory. But I think they are forgetting that we want attractive first, radical second (or much further down the list).
A big to the 7 and the Z4. I think BMW will accept this in 2-3 year's time....hopefully. They do make some of the finest cars around.
I agree that idrive is also a miscue.

I'm beginning to think that Chris Bangle is taking styling lessons from the designer of the Pontiac Aztek. And if you think the butt on the 745i is bad, wait until you see the caboose on the new 6-series.

Referring to the ad on TV...
"Hmm, those 4 engineers were looking this thing over BEFORE they sent me out in it... if they couldn't figure it out, how can I?"

If you want performance, the 7 series and A8 simply kills the MB S500/430..stock for stock. I say 500/430 because of their respective price ranges.
Anyways, if I could get a new 7 series for way under cost, then I'd take one in a heart beat. I could careless if people think it's ugly...I personally think itlooks just fine, and the performance and luxury is great compared to the S430/500. I guess I'll wait a couple years till the prices really go down, if they do at all.
The A8 is still the best bang for the buck.
