Great descfiption! I'm so in love w the over all reliability on the c5z while still kicking heavy arse despite its age! Still in love w mine. The volant air intake def makes it a heavy breather now!!!! Just wish I had cash for headers/x pipe!! I commute with my z and couldn't be happier. 29mpg is real and that's w passing/merging.

This was gonna be my next question for you! ^ 29mpgs is no joke! My S was getting 28.5 before the heatwave, now only 26, I like using A/C

If I can get into another car anytime soon the C5 is my second pick, just behind a C6
Just no verts for this guy!! I'd rather it not be a T-top but I guess I could give those a try

Evan-

I was truly amazed @ the fact that my S also got 18-20 city and never could touch 30mpg on the freeway. Double the cylinders and 3x the liters and its actually very close. Difference obviously is revs, if your over 4.5k in the z06 your probably breaking the law, with the s2 at 5k your trying to keep pace with the old lady next to you. Also the placebo effect of only a $50 full tank (14ish gallons) takes the sting out. Really theONLY big cost increase was $50 more per month on insurance but I'm 25yo and male

Here's my FS ad in case anyone would be interested in a very unique (and stunning IMO) color combo. Would love to keep it, but I don't think the seat/belt/harness situation is going to work for a dual purpose street/track car.

If the only reason you are selling it is because You cant fit a harness and normal seat belt then you might want to do more research. I know the Corbeau FX1 works also. It fits aftermarket seats as well as the S2000 does.

OK, maybe I need to check into a different seat setup. I really love the car, as it offers a lot more performance while needing much less maintenance than the M3's I've been looking at. But yes, guilty as charged on the automotive ADD claim.

The money you'd save by not swapping into another seat/harness seat-up that also works with the stock 3 point would be more than lost trading to a slower E36/E46 car that will require more maintenance over the long haul.

I'm going to drop the seats and car off @ Texas Track Works to see if they can make it work before tossing in the towel. But I love shopping for cars online, and have found some M3's I'm excited about. Yeah, I know they'll be slower and cost more to maintain, but they have other advantages (back seat for the kiddo, can fit my MTB in the back, etc.). Any of you reading this can guess just as well as I can which direction I'll go.
