I have a '96 as a comuter too. The only thing that went bad was the starter.

One thing good about an old Prism over a Corolla. Thieves don't want to steal Prism, but loves to steal Corolla...

Also the Toyota Matrix and Pontiac Vibe are the same as well.

Completely identical, yep.

Same goes with the '80s "Chevy Nova". It was a corolla in every way. A friend of mine had one, right up until 430,000km when it needed front end bushing work - he sold it for $300
