Okay... I have joined the ranks of S2000 owners! To match my S600 I found a nice 01 S2K. It is interesting how similar they are. Short shifter, "power" at high revs, noisy cabin with the top up, cross member in the footwells, even a bit of that bouncing the front fenders do on rough roads. The two cars are definitely made from the same Honda DNA.
Thanks for all the kind words that have been posted!
There are a couple things I should clear up in case you are interested:
My S600 is a 1965 - check out the plate on my site http://home.earthlink.net/~scottking/ !
The white cars came with red interiors originally. That's why the 00 model came with that combination for Honda's 50th anniversary. Somewhere along the way some yahoo recovered the seats tan. During the restoration is changed them back to red.
The car is painted the original Ivory White not Grand Prix White but you get the idea.
The S600 redlines at 9,500 RPM! It was Honda's first passenger car and its engineering was based on the Honda F1 technology of the day. DOHC, 57 hp, water cooled 4 cyl engine with rear chain drive. They didn't make another car like it until the S2000 unless you consider the midship Beat from the 80's.
Enjoy!

a "senior" coworker of mine claims to be a former owner of an S600 a while back. says he still misses it, and envy's my current honda roadster. unfortunalty i think he might be to large of a gentelman now to fit into either!
