Sad thing is that the GT-R just looks like a pig compared to the other cars.

 

All under 13s. Pretty impressive.

No doubt that the GT-R is an absolute beast - you're not going to beat that car in a straight line with anything short of a perfect launch in perfect conditions in something like a Ferrari 599, possibly the 458, or ZR1 or McLaren MP4-12C.

 

I think the Aventador could beat it as well, but again, it's five times the cost.

Not saying that it isn't. But having the GT-R sandwiched between a 458 and R8, doesn't make it look any smaller.

 

In a sense this was a good "real world" race. The concrete runway plays well with grip. The rear engine cars and the AWD cars show that under less than perfect track conditions there is more than just power to weight.

ahh got it.

still, the GT-R for the price is unbelievably quick. Imagine if this car is relatively close to the size of the R34... but then again, with all the gizmos this car packs, i don't know if they can make this current car design any smaller.

 

Interesting choice of cars. A few that I think could have replaced some others would have been Z06, 911 turbo/turbo s/GT2RS, some sort of Lambo, Exige s, M6, ect. I don't get why they were comparing the best of some brands to the middle of the road for others. You know why the GTR won? Well for starters is is damn fast, but also because they didn't bring any cars that were faster than it. It was a cool video, but I would have preferred to see the test either based on price, or based on each manufacturers best car.
