10th gen Civic, Si / Type R coming to US

2017 model means 2016 calendar year. They won't wait 'til 2017 (calendar) - no reason to delay and the car will already be done. I hear fall delivery of 2015 for the UK so probably spring delivery (2016) for the USA.

Wow, there are a lot of bitter people on here. Guess you're pissed at Honda for taking too long to come out with a new sporty/sports car? And now the "relationship" is ruined and anything they do is too little, too late? Shrug...
I'm looking forward to seeing what the new hatchbacks look like. Have fond memories of my '91 Civic Si, and several CRXes I've owned over the years. I'm not a fan of most recent sports/sporty cars - they're too bloated and have taken control away from the driver IMO - but that's not specific to Honda. Who knows, maybe these new Civics will be truer to the spirit of their predecessors than I'd expect.

I feel like some people are forgetting that the next gen Civic hatchback is a 5 door. Not a 3 door, like the ones we all have fond memories of.

Seeing this was announced on April 1st, and Honda has lost such a large amount of credibility of launching a CTR in the states, my guess is this is all a big April Fools Joke. Hope I am wrong.

You think the physical concept car that debuted at the NYIAS is a joke?

Don't worry - you'll only get brief glimpses as it passes whatever you're driving.

Did Honda ever reveal what tires it was using on that run at the 'Ring?
