now that i actually looked..
i would probably find a slightly used VERY slightly used, LS600hL
i would get it used just so it squeezes into the whole 100k thing
i priced it out on the lexus site..
it came out to like 117k

did you actually read my post? Diablo VT=AWD performance. with a high top end speed, the higher gears are very tall, meaning freeway driving won't be bothersome, and it should be better in nasty weather compared to a modded S2000 for example. The Lambo would surely be dependable enough, even in Michigan.
if I had my own 100k to spend and could only chose one car - it'd be different as i'd never want to drive a lambo exclusively in all weather types if i was paying for it. but the OP stated you were given a free 100k to spend on the vehicle of your choice. I pick the AWD lambo (plus winter tires!).
just as some owners drive their S2k's all year, I believe this would be do-able as well. I chose to have a winter beater myself, but the rules state u can't - not even a 94 prism (like i have now ). Some folks are talking about RWD platforms like GT3's - something i woudn't want to deal with in november-march here in metro-Detroit. The Diablo also still has AC/power everything/ etc so it's not exactly like a track-stripped Diablo GT
oh - and it would DEFINITELY make for some crazy photo's floating around the internet! u got that right!

It doesn't matter how much traction you have, a Lambo doesn't have enough ground clearance to get through much snow. It would be a better snow plow than daily transportation.
The numerous responses here that totally fail to comprehend the original constraints &/or have no basis in reality are disappointing.

Honda Insight?
It actually looks like a pretty nice daily driver. I am looking right now and don't really like the current Civics all that much, the Fit is a no go since i already have one SMALL car, the S. An Insight with VSA is 21 grand...

Probably the newest, lowest mile acura nsx. The 92' nsx still has baller status, an 05 or 06' if they made that year would be awesome. Low maintenance too!
Porsche gt3 comes in second, porsche's are mainteance whores. Ill save a few hundred each month for when the warranty runs out.

So you don't drive during a storm, just wait for the crews to clear the road. S2000 owners daily drives their S up north, so an awd Lambo would fit the bill. So you sacrifice being able to drive during a snowstorm, big deal.
Isn't there a professional snowboarder who painted his lambo camoflauge and put a ski rack on it and drives it everywhere?
