I almost bought this car instead of my Evo, owner was about 15 mins away from me in Irvine.

That's a great buy for that price.

I'm actually trying to track down the owner of that swap so I can buy it from them.

So this is how I ended up. Brand new 2012. Love it so far! Perfect addition to my Accord, best of both worlds.

Tommy you were right, a bunch of my riding buddies have a crossplane R1, I have always outran them on my 1000RR's... but I didn't realize they were behind me having so much fun and being so comfortable! Very cool bike. Also, don't mind the messy table.. I did surgery on the rear fender last night trying to make my own fender eliminator.... didn't go well at all.

LOL, so much for going with a smaller bike.. Nice choice though. With your options I would've picked the bike as well...

Yamaha has restrictions on it that you need to remove.

Transforms the bike. The motor is fantastic, a virtual V4. Enjoy it and congrats. I love mine. I've spend more $ on mods than the bike originally cost and I'm loving every minute of it!

Is that the ecu unleashed tune?

I saw around the forums a couple people were weary about the cheaper tune, I thought ECU unleashed was something like $400?

What kind of Exhaust do you have? Worth paying $1k+ for slipons?

Flash tune. Much cheaper and better. They allow you to set the idle, lower the fan temps (so they come on sooner, and keep the engine cooler), change the velocity stack opening point, and lots more. A much more thorough option choice. That link is for a friend's company to do it for you. Flashtune charges $150 or you can buy their interface and do it yourself.

Slip-ons and Y pipe are the ticket for this bike. The Y pipe eliminates the cat and the heat on that side of the bike. Best bang for your buck option is a M4 Y pipe (motomummy.com) and your choice of slip-ons.

I'm partial to Leo Vince for this bike. Akras are good too but too pricey.

These are going to be the best bang for the buck.

I prefer the EVO II's but they are much more expensive. Any questions with the bike ask. Mine's modified to hell and back and I know this model inside and out.
