ill take an m coupe please (the old z3 based one) the only car that ever sold with styling that was edgy and the only car they have ever sold that takes less than 10 years before it looks sporty.

My guess is that the buying demographic has a huge overlap, and that the majority of buyers for both the C63 and the M3 will be somewhere between indifferent and uninformed about the differences you state. Many or most will buy one vs. the other for reasons unrelated to "mashing" vs "challenging."
