ill take an m coupe please (the old z3 based one) the only car that ever sold with styling that was edgy and the only car they have ever sold that takes less than 10 years before it looks sporty.

but it definitely sounds like the car you'd wanna drive for fun, of the 3 (wild burnouts, loud as hell, monstrous torque, 10 mpg-ha).
all props to MB for the excellant transmission, power output and a better handling car than the previous model...
but its still not an M3... not yet...
i agree more people may indeed prefer the C63... but that just means more people just want brute power and an easy-to-mash-the-gas car than something that is more challenging like the M3... the buying demographic is differnet, to an extent...

i guess that depends on the driver... to me "more fun" is being able to dance with a car on the corner's than mashing the gas and getting gobs of torque to hook up...

My guess is that the buying demographic has a huge overlap, and that the majority of buyers for both the C63 and the M3 will be somewhere between indifferent and uninformed about the differences you state. Many or most will buy one vs. the other for reasons unrelated to "mashing" vs "challenging."

Okay, the M3 pulled a 4.3 to 60 and the C63 did 3.9seconds. BMW's DCT-tranny is guaranteed to shed a few tenths off that figure.
Probably their actual street numbers will be virtually the same, but even so the C63 will probably still give you more of that rumbling mashing feeling talked about above.
But my point was that a lot of their buyers won't care about actual numbers or handling feel etc. They'll probably decide on looks, or Benz vs Bimmer or best deal they can get etc. My opinion only.
