Great, nice car. you didn't say so I assume it's a coupe. I'm glad to see them making a sedan. Also IMO it's nice to see a car company having the guts to offer not one but two cars (Si and S2000) thaat only come with a MT.
Is there much wheel spin when you take off? The Accord I drove had a lot of wheel spin, but has worse and smaller tires as well as no LSD.

Question for you- from your quote it sounds like it would not be overkill to have both Si and S2k?
On paper it seems that the VTEC experience seems to link the Si and S2k and it did cross my mind to wonder do I want to spend $55k for both together that have a "similar" experience. For example, it would make perfect sense to have a Vette and an S2k- experiences are much different. Or to have an Si and a M3- again different experiences.
But when I drove Si and S2k back to back they seem as different as a Vette and a G35 for example.
So unless I hear otherwise I will have both in my garage.

The driving experience of SI is different from S2000 in many aspects. One similarity between them is high-revving engines with Vtec kick-ins. However, driving aspects differ substantially. SI is FWD and more prone to understeer; S2000 is RWD and more prone to oversteer. S2000 is more tossable, agile, quicker, etc. Besides, driving a roadster has a different feel than a closed top of a coupe or sedan. Only if you drive them both back to back and really get on them to feel the differences. But yes, they both have high-revving engines and when Vtec kicks in, it makes it more fun.
Besides the obvious sedan vs. roadster differences the driving experience is quite different.
That is why having both makes sense.

At first I did not like the looks of the coupe so I ordered the sedan but then a coupe came in and I was anxious to get started to I just bought it.
The coupe has really grown on me. I love the design now.
The sedan, I think, has always been a great design. I do not need 4 doors so the coupe stays but I think the sedan in white or black with a body package is going to be outstanding.

Welcome to the S2k/Civic combo family. Props on being able to apprecaite the Si despite having owned some much more powerful cars in the past.
Oh yeah, TTIWWP!

My wife's '07 Civic Hybrid is a couple of weeks away. She rolled her '94 Accord ten days ago.
