225 and 3,000 lbs is faster than 240 and 2,700? Are we talking about some hypothetical frictionless environment or

Strange, since when I put my car on the scales it came in at 2890 lbs including driver, which puts it at 2745 lbs on its own.
At the SCCA Nationals, there was a B-stock weigh-in. Most stock S2000s are right in that 2750 lb range. https://www.s2ki.com/forums/index.php?showt...71&hl=nationals
Anybody have a link to a Z4 dyno chart?

Keep in mind "curb weight" is "full-fluids" so figure 80-90 lbs for a full tank of gas that's factored in the 28xx lbs for the S2000. So if you weigh it while it's empty it's 27xx.

First of all you're about 150 lbs. off on the S2000...it's about 2,850 lbs. and both the S2000 and the Z4 (3.0) put down similar RWHP numbers as BMW's 225hp rating is slightly underrated. In addition to which the Z4 has a significant torque advantage.

The new 3.0L should propel the 3800 lb 530i to the mid 6's and just imagine what it'll do in a 3000 lb car.
A 530i is only 0.3-0.4s slower than a 330i to the 60.
