Default 06 s2k vs 09 370z

So I got the green light from the wife to get a sports car. . i was really honed in on a nice low miles and great condition 06 s2k but then started doing research on the new 09 nissan 370z . . .

prices on the z's new are coming down a bit as the dealers are trying to get them out the door. . the best price i found was 28,300 which includes the destination. .its the base 6 spd manual transmission model. .no sport or touring package.

the s2k i've located is 20,500 . . . and less than 10k miles

the 370z is wicked fast with torque on demand, more comfort, more features and better storage space in the back.

the s2000 is . . well ya'll know what it is but i'll just say the ragtop on it really is attractive to me. . plus its a honda. . .

so all this said, and knowing what a biased group you all are. . what would you do ? it's keeping me awake

That is a tough choice, the 370 is a very sexy car, I just love the way it looks from behind and it is deffinately faster than the S2k. But I am just in love with the pure raw feeling of the S2k. I have driven a ton of cars and found nothing that matches the feeling, plus I love the open feeling of top down fun.

So for the difference in price, I would buy the S2k and supercharge it

I really like the Z, but I honestly think that in a few years they will be everywhere like the 350Z, I just see to many of them around here.

but if he finances it he prolly wont have that extra cash to supercharge it because he would pay the 28k with a loan. unless he has 8k in cash laying around then yea why not.

i have never had a 370z but i did have a 350z so i can make some comparison. i had a touring 350z, and i rode in a base, and i can tell you that you will regret not getting the touring or grand touring. its worth the extra money. btu i dont know hwo the 370z compare. so i would go with the S, becaue i love mine compared to the 350z.

Make sure you check the VIN with the soft top TSB thread on the sticky section up top. If its VIN falls into the range, and the top has not been replaced... Don't get it. It's a nightmare to get Honda to even contribute a little towards replacement once you are out of warranty.

Otherwise... S all the way! Never liked the new generations of Z.

370z with sports package pulls .97G on a skidpad and beats the S2000 in every other aspect of performance (stock vs stock)
If u want a drop-top, tho, u can't beat the S2000

S2000. The 370Z is newer but I don't think Nissan vehicles are as reliable as Hondas...plus you always have the vert factor with the S. Plus it's cheaper

...And better on gas

the Z is newer faster and more comfortable, the S on the other hand is a sexy bitch and it feels awsome
