Default 06 Dodge Charger Spyshots

By now we've all seen "official" sketches of the upcoming Charger, but here are the first actual pictures of the much anticipated Charger caught in an undisclosed location. The Charger will make its official debut at the North American International Auto Show inDetroit, and arrive at dealerships next spring as an early 2006 model. Published reports state that Charger will be powered by a 3.5-liter V-6 or the optional 5.7-liter HEMI, but insiders expect the 6.1-liter HEMI to follow - as it will be doing with the 300C, Magnum and even the Grand Cherokee.

In terms of design, it doesn't look like anything special...

It does look like a 300C mated with a Magnum.

Are we sure that's the Charger? I've heard that Dodge is getting a sedan version of the Magnum and this looks a lot like a sedan Magnum. Either way, the design is boring at best and a certain flop.

Great. One more reason for D-M to whine about the "hemi".

I owned a Charger (1972). That's not a Charger. A Charger has two doors. At best it's a Coronet.

I have a Charger (71).
I liked the sketches of the new one, but I'm about the only old Charger owner who does.
These spy shots look disapointing. I hope the car has a lot more presence in the metal. Also bigger wheels couldn't hurt this body shape.
Not really sure why they went with the name Charger, being a 4 door and all. But had they built a 2 door it wouldn't have sold well in today's market.
I still believe the above 'charger' will sell. Plus I'd bet the HEMI version will be a blast to drive.
