walk in and a woman asks what kind of car you drive and your answer is Z06, they will be like what is that? You answer corvette (been around and nothin special) now you say you have a Lotus they say WOW nice car, or they do not know what that is eithor, but when they see it ...its like WOW thats bad ass!!

Lotus all the way!!! not to mention the S/c you can import from the UK

Obviously the Lotus has the wow factor.

The Z06 is a better "all around" performer is so much more practical.

You might as well build a kit car if you want the Elise.

Once kid said bumble bee (lame...bumble bee sucks), and other said star scream (*yawn), but I was like "Optimus Prime and Megatron!" She was totally impressed. My choice without a doubt is the Elise. I've owned 3 Corvettes and I loved them. I've driven ZO6's and I'll never knock the car because it is awesome. In fact if I could only own one car the ZO6 would most likely be my choice.

After my S2000 became mostly a track car I sold it and bought a Formula car for my track days. It's faster, it handles better, it takes more skill to drive, and the overall cost of ownership is less. The problem is that I want a toy to drive on the street too and my CRXsi just doesn't cut the mustard. The Elise has been my dream car for the street for years. I want one so bad I can taste it.

The ZO6 is a car that does it all well. The Elise is a car built for play days only and it is perfect on those days and that's what I want it for.

Just curious, could anyone find a front on shot of the C5 and Elise side to side? One of things I love about the Vette is that it is somewhat menacing and large from the front, and I'd love to see how that contrasts to an Elise.

CG: You make some good points. I'd be much more interested in an Elise as well if I was shopping for a 5th rather than 3rd or 4th car.
