*** Please Help ***
Mechanical Guru's, I need a quick favor if you've got a minute. My friend is having problems with his car and I'm certain it's something simple but I have no idea where to start.

He was just driving and the car stopped. The car will turn over but not start, if he pours gas into the carb it'll start, so we're thinkin' it's a fuel issue. He has already replaced the fuel pump, and in-tank fuel filter, as well as the part that injects the fuel (dunno, looks like 1 big injector)...but the car still won't start.
Help me out here, the car needs fuel but no fuel is getting to the single injector, if it's not the pump, or the filter, what could it be? Electrical?
Anyone?
Thanks in advance
Andrew

Could be a bunch of different things.
A) This is an s2000 board.
B) Your subject should be "on-topic".. ***Please Help*** is somewhat vague.
C) Sounds like his spark plugs are dead? Did you check those?
D) If those are fine (not fouled out.. "blackened" or otherwise damaged), check the distributor. A bad distributor may prevent spark plugs from firing. You can unplug a spark plug, try to turn the engine over with another person holding the plug (not close to the tip for safety reasons of course, hold it by the rubber wire) and see if it sparks. If it does (and you've now checked the plugs), you may want to replace the distributor.

Yeah, I know it's an S2K board...lol, check my insept date, but this board has helped me a lot with other things too.
It's not the plugs 'cause when he pours gas into the carb it'll run, the car just isn't getting fuel, and we can't figure out why.
Thanks anyway Turbo-Guy .

Having recently replaced the fuel pump does not guaranty that the new one is currently working. It could have been a dud. This has been know to happen. The fact that it starts when you dump fuel down the "throat" says that the ignition is good. When you key the ignition to ON but not cranking, you should hear the in-tank fuel pump pressurize up. If you hear no "wind up", then suspect the pump again. If you DO hear the pump, then it could be the regulator. There is a remote chance that the injector suddenly went kapput.
