AHH!!! You've come to the right place!!! I'm on the Best Desserts of LA Tour.

The best places (and I've been to them ALL) are:
Sweet Lady Jane and Joan's on Third (already mentioned)
Michel Richard (Robertson between Burton Way and Third)
La Provence (Olympic near Doheny)

Some specific desserts:
- Banana Banana Banana at Chaya Venice
- the Banana Split at The Ivy (although I think it's like $30 or something absurd)
- Any crepe at the crepe counter at the Farmer's Market
