Unhappy your awake but cannot move....

You awake, eyes open can see everything around you and hear everything as well, but you cannot move a muscle... You try your hardest to move your arms or legs but they don't budge....

It's often scary at times as you feel as if someone or something is holding you down!!

Something supernatural in fact might be in the room with you, a demon, ghost, spirit??

This has probably happened to you before and scared the crap out of you as well... Happened to me yesterday morning infact, and I don't recall the last time it happened before that, but I knew it was scary as hell everytime it did occur...

Well if you're curious, you'll be glad to know it's called sleep paralysis, and it's caused by unusual sleep patterns...

So don't stay up late like I did playing GT5!!! haha

It's happened to me a twice, I think it's because you wake up but aren't fully awake or at least your brain isn't running on all cylinders

Its called sleep paralysis I get it every now and then. Basically when you sleep a chemical goes into ur system that paralyzes you. So you dont try to act out your dreams. People who sleep walk lack some or all of this chemical or it does not circulate fully. In our case it kicks in but we are awake. When this happens your half awake and half dreaming so often times you see dark figures or disturbing images. It's caused by the anxiety and panic of not being able to move. Best to keep your eyes closed for the durration and you will feel a pressure on your body like something is squeezing you. Not exactly sure why this happens but it always does when you close your eyes.
Hope it helps

Holy crap everything you said even the dark figure part was true when that happened to me. I was so damn scared and when I snapped out of it i was sweating from trying to move. It tends to happen to me when I sleep during the day in a bright area.
