Yikes!
So i was kind of late for work today and i live right by a high school. Anyways i made a left and took a "forbidden" lane all the way through for about 200-300 ft to the left turn lane becuase i couldnt get into the regular lanes because of the traffic from all the people getting into school. I just got a ticket a few months ago and i opted for traffic school. I havent taken it yet but it was for a red light camera. Few questions. Will this weigh more heavily on my record than the red light ticket? I was thinking since i havent taken traffic school yet for that infraction, then maybe i could take it for this if this is weighed more heavily insurance-wise. Also, I havent used ticketassassin for a while.. Do they deal with issues like this? are there any other resources to fight a ticket? lmk guys . thanks - david

i know for sure that written declarations have been coming back guilty in many cases.
i think cause of the budget crisis perhaps but when i sent in mine 5 months ago, i got rejected... and so did like 4 other people on s2k during that time.

I would do traffic school on the red light ticket, and trial by dec on the one written by the cop. 9 out of 10 times the cop won't turn in their info. I have friends that are cops and they all say when they get the trial by dec info, they just put i away and forget about it. It's the CHP officers who have nothing better to do, that send in their trials by dec. Regular police officers are to busy to fill out more paperwork.
But as far as which will hurt more, they are both 1 point on your record. But you have a greater chance of the cop not turning in their info then trying to beat a red light camera ticket.
