I know of 8 places in San Diego that will have them tonight. The Wal Mart we are going to to hit up (buy from) has 22 in stock. the rest have like 15 20 13 blah blah.

You guys need to seriously take a look at purcasing this unit out of state. We had no problems in Hawaii when the PS2 came out like California did. I got one with no waiting in line and just walked in 2 weeks after it was released and infact there was several on the shelves for those 2 weeks. Take a look at Arizona, Nevada, Oregon, etc.. The price being $400+ wont sit pretty with most people so thats a plus but on the other hand some people will pay $1000 for it..
When the PS2 came out, my wife bought mine for retail (while folks in Cali were paying $100 to $200 over retail) by ordering from some place in Texas
Shipped right to my door. No waiting in line
