Hrmm...80 360's is a long stretch, I know that the bestbuy in SimiValley is recieving 34 cores and 12 premiums, first come first serve, and they're passing out tickets for them. Opens at 9 for launch.
Stores like that are not your best bet however, the first place I would try is any GameRush. No one expects anything from them, at least not here in Simi. Occasionally check up for lines late at night, if you see it forming, go. If anything, GameRush will be open at 12.

Just came back from Fry's - Anaheim. Similar deal: open at 8am, first-come first-served. Fry's already has games and accessories for sale in case you want it.
I bet Costco will have a bunch too!

he works at the covina best buy, the amount of xboxes the stores recieves is based on there volume, its a pretty high volume store so they will recieve more than other stores. The only places i know of that will open at midnight are game stores and 24 hour walmarts will be handing tickets out at 11 and selling the boxes at 12:01, this is at the glendora wal mart.

You guys need to seriously take a look at purcasing this unit out of state. We had no problems in Hawaii when the PS2 came out like California did. I got one with no waiting in line and just walked in 2 weeks after it was released and infact there was several on the shelves for those 2 weeks. Take a look at Arizona, Nevada, Oregon, etc.. The price being $400+ wont sit pretty with most people so thats a plus but on the other hand some people will pay $1000 for it..
