This movie was utter trash. What really surprised me was the audience in the theater I went to laughing at every "dramatic screaming into the sky due to a horrible loss" scenes.
Anyway the movie was done in a rather sloppy manner. Imagine if this was executed correctly, they could have taken one of the sickest Marvel characters and made a Batman comparable film.

I think it just comes down to the fact that comic book nerds (like myself) don't mind at all seeing the same thing they did in the comics, on screen. But hollywood writers like to change things up. Although the true Wolverine would be an R rated movie, it would have been easy to do a PG13 that followed along just as well (ala Fox saturday morning Xmen cartoons from the 90's).
