Wolverine was a PG-13 movie. If it was an R rated movie i'm sure it would be closer to the violence in the comics. Well done.

[QUOTE=jlammy,May 16 2009, 01:29 PM] Well, if you're a true Wolvie comic fan then you may be a bit disappointed storyline goes, but it's not a bad flick.

This movie was utter trash. What really surprised me was the audience in the theater I went to laughing at every "dramatic screaming into the sky due to a horrible loss" scenes.

Anyway the movie was done in a rather sloppy manner. Imagine if this was executed correctly, they could have taken one of the sickest Marvel characters and made a Batman comparable film.

Wolverine is that deep of a character but we've already seen him in the original X-Men movie so this is somewhat of a prequel and this Wolverine character needed to fit into the one in the Trilogy. In that context i think it was done well for a PG-13 movie.

I think it just comes down to the fact that comic book nerds (like myself) don't mind at all seeing the same thing they did in the comics, on screen. But hollywood writers like to change things up. Although the true Wolverine would be an R rated movie, it would have been easy to do a PG13 that followed along just as well (ala Fox saturday morning Xmen cartoons from the 90's).
