the refereeing of this world cup is such a joke


is there nothing we can do? i second the appeals, this isn't even soccer anymore

I love the fact that there are no US refs either because they are "not qualified."

Well, if they are trying to go off the fact that soccer isnt very popular in the U.S., then that might actually be more of a case to have a U.S. ref. Less chance for bias, and less likely to try and see one of the other powerhouses get penalized/knocked out IMO.

Another instance of unfair reffing. Who saw Brazil's second goal yesterday? TWO hand balls in one play, both of them were blatantly obvious and then the ref ran up to him and was joking around with him. It looked like he mentioned something to the player about it but had decided to ignore the play.

I support as little obstruction as possible by the refs for soccer.... but a hand ball? That shouldn't be let go.
