Simply put, it's all about connections and who you know. If you don't have anyone, that sucks. Apply your little heart out and prepare to eat rejection as breakfast, lunch, and dinner, if you're even lucky enough to get attention at all. Modify your approach when you can and learn from any mistakes you can identify. I'm talking details down to dress, diction, and demeanor. Bear in mind no matter how hungry you think you are, there will always be someone hungrier.
Good luck.

I know you're asking this because you feel like you're out of options, but asking this question is almost like asking "Does anyone have a hot and single sister that's down to bone?"
Good luck to the original poster btw.

Internships getting you solid experience in your given field are like gold on a resume. This coming from someone that reads a lot of resumes, and does a fair amount of hiring.
While in school its important (if you can swing it) to concentrate on your studies, and not get tied up in a full-time job. Then on the off times (summer, etc.) getting those internships are priceless.
