I got all 3 windows tinted on mine. I went with a light shade. I've had it on for a year and very satisfied.

The light shade will not attract law enforcement, and it still provides enough heat reduction in the cabin, for me at least. The dark shade looks cool but not at the expense of a ticket.

Mine was a titanium type film. I wanna say it was Madico brand.

You should consider Huber Optic. It is the best tint period. It has a ceramic base, not metal, so the heat rejection is the best, and it is a lot lighter in color, but will block more heat than any other film on the market. If you really want heat rejection, this is the stuff to get, but plan on paying a premium. It's a little over $200 for the 2 windows alone. I know this is a lot of cash for 2 windows, but if you are wanting heat rejection, this is the stuff to get.

The down side to this is, our top isn't insulated, so I doubt you will notice a huge difference. If this were a coupe/sedan, it is a night and day difference.

I have limo (5%) on the front, 35% on the entire windshield and a 5% eyebrow at the top to off set the 35% film. It gets so hot here in AZ in the summer, you want all the help you can get. I am not sure who carries what over there, but we have a "tint day" and my buddy only charges $40.00 for the S, not including the back window with Llumar. Make sure they follow the little curve on the stripping towards the back of the window. I had it retinted because they cut it straight across, and it lloked like crap.
Good luck to ya. Here is what a tinted windshield looks like.

35% Reflective Black on Front
5% Limo Rear

From some angles it looks almost transparent, but it's reflective when the sun hits it.

Pictures don't do justice. I really like my front tint

SimonS2K, when the top is down, you really can't tell it's tinted unless you are looking for it. I got popped earlier this year for speeding and the officer had no idea the windshield was tinted. It looks a bit darker in the pic because there is no sunlight. You need all the help you get here in the summer. Once I get a new windshield, I will not have it tinted before it goes on. The visability sucks at night when you are driving on a road without srteet lights. I learned that coming home from Flagstaff this past Jul. when the group took off, and I was stuck doing the speed limit for lack of vision.

jayhawker, oh yeah-I can see how the windshield being tinted would limit your visibility. Especially at night. Looks very cool though.

Be careful of pedestrians at night
