Will cheapy gas kill your car? (Article)
#41
For my personal experienced, i have tried different gas company before, Arco gas is not soo great, poor in performance and big different when i used 76 gas. In a long run you might save a few from cheaper gas but you end up spending more money to fix your car. So i'm going with 76 all the way for my S. just my $.02

I'd fill up my car with whichever gas is cheaper, as long as the car is a lease. But none of my cars are lease, so I'd pay a tad bit more to fill up at chevron or shell...

The other day.. 2.75 for my accord.

If you are wanting to have some extra detergents etc. then buy Expensive gas 1 time a month at Shell and be done w/ this BS.
I was getting my gas at Circle-K--mainly because it's like a 1 minute drive
from my house. After installing a super charger, I was getting CEL. I
switched to Chevron (a 2minute drive from my house), and the CEL went
away.

i remember about 5-6 years ago(in sacramento), a arco station was fined by the government for doing such a thing. the symptoms was that after filling up people would have their engines choke and die on them, or have a very choppy feel.
I personally didnt use arco because I noticed that with arco gas I had to fill up twice as much driving being kept the same, and this was in my uncles 04 corolla (didn't have a car back then)

ive gotten bad gas in my crx (that could run on 86 if i could find it) from THRIFTY gas stations, at least once.
but any station can have a faulty tank and condensation can occur. it happened to a friend who got gas from a chevron.
i dont go to arco because i save more with my credit card that gives cash back for 3% or more.
