5% off per gallon? That's really good. I might have to look into that.

The website says 5% off gas purchases, up to $100 per month. And I think you can't request the refund till you accumulate like $50 credit. But hey, at least you get to choose any gas brand you want.
I don't understand all the hate ARCO gets. A teammate of mine on my soccer team knew that I was into car and asked me what gas I use and I told him ARCO and he said "Oh, never mind then." When I asked him what that meant, he said all his "car" friends told him "filling your car with ARCO gas is like filling your car with orange juice." I let him know that my dad has been using ARCO everytime to fill up for almost 25 years in his 84 CRX and he said he had only filled up elsewhere a handful of times and it's still running strong at 280,000 miles. Some people are really stubborn and he decided to stick with his "car" friends words.

i always thought cosco gas burns faster, maybe it's just my foot and not the gas.
How long you idle for at each stop light..
How often you drive on a cold motor..
How fast you accelerate..
How often you roll down windows..
How often you have added weight (passengers, etc)..
thats just to name a few.. some of which is extremely hard variables to control when its your daily driver..

its happened on more than one occasion which is why i stopped using it. either way that happened years ago, so theres really not much i can say in terms of evidence for it.

You also lived in the projects of Sactown....everything's tainted around there
damn.. the arco was pretty damn close to the projects too...
p.s. the windows down myth is busted by mythbusters i believe. I drive all the time on the freeway with them down and the music blaring and my mileage hasnt suffered either. could just be a coincidence.

$50 worth of credit should be easy enough, I love Costco.

Whether using Top Tier gasoline makes a substantive difference is debatable. AAA contends that any brand of gasoline is safe. In addition, the deposits that Top Tier gasoline helps prevent generally don't cause problems for an engine until after 100,000 miles.
To date, no manufacturer has threatened to void the warranties of drivers who fail to use Top Tier gasoline.
