Why are my pictures coming out pixely?

Ok the picture was taken in auto mode. (didnt come out bad, considering its a crappy picture) Im going to upload a better picture.

ROFLMAO
After you login, click manage located on the upper middle toolbar thingy. It will lead you to all your uploaded images and you can delete all the selcted images you want.

I can tell you right now that from that first dark picture, I believe it's your ISO setting. Try shooting in something other than auto. See the "grainy-ness" in the dark pictures? That's what Luwin1026 was referring to when he mentioned "noise". The higher the ISO 200+, the more noise. The more grainy-ness. Shoot at the lowest ISO. You'll just need to learn the other settings too and after a while, you can take way better pictures than auto.

Exactly what I was going to say. But, when you lower the iso, the shutter speed, the images can get blurry if you don't shoot from a steady hand/tripod.

True

In those cases, I just play with the shutter speed and the apperature. Takes 1 or two shots but the end result usually works out.

My G5 isn't much different than the S500. Here's some of my stuff.
