Time for tires again. Mine are grippin' no more. So it's time to lose my street cred (yo!) and get some tires with tread on them.

Couldn't find that age-old RA-1 thread, so please humor me. Who's got RA-1s, how much life have you gotten out of them and how much did you pay(and where'd you get 'em)?

What my buddy told me, he just got a set of RA1s from Buttonwillow raceway. The price, from what he told me, is cheaper than anywhere else even comparing to online vendors.

Thanks, Phil! Just did.

pointa-b-c, I'd rather not do the drive out there. Did your friend purchase them from the Tire Center there? Price?

I'm gonna jack your rims one day, Kel, just so you stop bragging about them in front of me.

I know, its a drive. Well, IIRC, he said he got his set, mounted and balance OTD price for approx. $700 something. 17/45/225 front and 17/40/255 rear. I might be wrong cause I am still new to everything about S2k.

I had RA-1s when I autoxed a GTI and used them on my Miata afterwards. They lasted a long time (but then, maybe it was cuz I didn't autox enough).

Be interested in seeing what quotes you get on your tires (205/50R16s and 245/45R16s I presume). Maybe can get you a better deal.
