We're in Grandstand 29 (on Shoreline, just west of the Toyota Bridge, at the start-finish, across from the pits), Section 2, Row 1 (top row) all three days.

I might pay a visit on Saturday but so far it's not concrete yet. If anything, I'd do the general admission and walk around all day thing as I've done in the past.
George, you're in a pretty good spot there. I normally like to stand near the end of shoreline or at the end of the other straightaway (forget the name) and that's where most of the action is as everyone's jockeying for position while breaking and turning.
3 days?! You're a trooper!
Too bad they don't have the sports car series any more with the Lotus, Ferrari, Porsches.... The historic race might be interesting though.

Roger-
You can get tickets on their website, www.longbeachgp.com. Look at the course map first and figure out where you want to be. I highly recommend Grandstand 29.

My brother in laws friend fills the trunk of his car with ice chests full of beer and parks it in the Hyatt parking garage on Thursday night which is right in the middle of the track. His wife then picks him up and he leaves his car at the garage. Come Sunday he pays general admission, walks to his car(where we all meet),pops the trunk....and the bar is open for business. We all meet up back at his car for a few cold ones in between races. He's been doing this for about 7 years now without any problems, and it sure beats paying $6.00 for a beer.
