Default Where to take kids to play in snow?

Howdy,
Where can I take two young kids to play in some snow right now? They're little (4 and 1 yrs old), so we're not going skiing--I really only need a clearing and maybe some small hills, if that! They'll probably only play for an hour or so, so CLOSER is better!

Any suggestions on places that are easy to drive to and closest to:
1) the South Bay (e.g. LAX); or
2) Santa Clarita (e.g. Magic Mountain)

Thanks for the help!

I'm not sure about close, but in the Bear Bear region, there is a place called (I don't remember)

If you drive up on the 330/30 you'll see it before Snow Valley. Hope that helps!

Hmmm, let me find a map and figure out where that is... Thanks.

Big Bear? I guess that's way east.

Near Santa Clarita, maybe some place near Mountain High?

Near LAX, ???? Maybe Big Bear is the closest?

What about any places near Mount Wilson?

I want to say it was called "Alpine village" or "magic alpline village"

If you call ANY of the Hotels/Motels/ CABINS up there, they will know!!

I think this is what you're talking about:

Mountain High's automated phone system says it doesn't have a permit for "sledding or tubing"

(Old School)

Yes they do HAVE tubbing and sledding. I've been there before (15 years ago I think)

Great place for the kids, I'd drive at 9am, arrive at 11am, (Less black Ice) and warmer for the kids. Bring the suncreen.
