Yes. There's a one year manufacture warranty.

You can buy the extended/additional warranty which covers the camera after 1 year. I think there's the 3 yr coverage and a 5 year coverage.

If you plan on keeping it for quite some time, I suggest getting Mack's extended warranty. I wish I purchased it when I bought my rebel over two years ago, which happened to break on me earlier this year. I ended up sending it to canon and had to pay more than what Mack's warranty is sold for.

If Costco is near the same price, I advise getting one at your local Costco. Can't beat the return policy.

You can, depends on how it is broken. I had a battery that died unexpectedly (I left it uncharged for too long) and they gave me a new one.

Check resellerratings.com first to see if those places are good. Off the top of my head, I think they're both a no-no.

seems like beach camera is good. they got 8.something and most of the disatisfaction was shipping problems.

I think i bought something from beach camera before. Don't remember what it was exactly.

I've made purchases form buydig.com and they're awesome.
