Raffi's is a bit overrated these days IMO. It's not bad, but not like it used to be and it's hit and miss. Haven't tried Bravo yet.

Yea raffi's isn't my favorite, just everyone raves about it. I personally like bravo. Mr. K boston style pizza and subs is not to be missed though in glendale.

Yeah, I know what you mean. I have yet to find one place that's really consistent. I'll have to check those two out.

For pizza, has anyone been to Mulberry's? Have heard good things about it. For a good customizable burger, try "The Counter" in santa monica.

LA Times West magazine annual restaurant review last Sunday:

http://www.latimes.com/features/magazine/w...54932.htmlstory

Look at Langers on Midwilshire. They're calling its pastrami on rye the best in the country, including New York:

Pastrami

Want to take the subway, but need a destination? Make it Langer's, at the corner of 7th and Alvarado. The deli, just shy of 60 years old, makes a pastrami sandwich that just may be the best in the country. Yes, we're talking to you, New York. The rye is cut from a huge loaf, rebaked, and the pastrami is hand-cut, which makes all the difference. Moist and just tender enough, it boasts a rich, full-bodied flavor and a lingering blast of pepper. And because you're asking, coleslaw is the only way to go. Langer's, 704 S. Alvarado St., Los Angeles; (213) 483-8050.

Mulberry is alright. Its in beverly hills and they have a few locations. Try Jacopos on Beverly, a block from mulberry. Awesome pizza. But if you live in Glendale go up to la cresenta/flintridge area and eat at Georges on foothill. That is the best pizza i have ever had.
