Yep, I'm inclined to agree on the Muslim Chinese thing. The onion bread requires that you order 15 min. in advance (call ahead or wait if you don't mind.) Any of the soups (e.g. lamb) with the "home make" noodles are awesome.

Thanks for the correct info - couldn't remember where it was!

Shabu Shabu
Shin Sen Gumi in Gardena on Artesia and Western

Chanko Nabe. (It's what the sumo wrestlers eat. A lot of ingredients kind of like shabu shabu.)
Shin Sen Gumi in Torrance. It's right next to the yakitori side. Very small. You have to make reservations ahead of time so they can prepare it for you.

Monjirou
Yakitori. The best I had so far.
Torrance on Hawthorne past Sepulveda. Right before AAA in the strip mall.

Chicken Dijon!

Located in Torrance and Redondo Bch.

Rotisserie chicken served with a couple sides and pita bread plus this AWESOME, totally freaking awesome garlic sauce.

They were voted best chicken in south bay for a few years in a row....
