Dude.... SO many choices.

Muslim Chinese food. Hard to describe, but get the 'da bing' (big bread), lamb and green onions, and a hot pot.

Hong Kong style food -a mix of Chinese and Western food. Try the 'rice casseroles' especially Portuguese style. i really also like the Tea with honey and lemon.
This could work out...

Address and # please

um... don't know addy's.

There's "tasty garden" in Monterey Park. It's on Valley (I think) very near Noodle Planet on the south side of the street. (HK style).

There's also HK cafe in arcadia - going to check it out today - 558 W las tunas, 626-445-8882

For Muslim food there's one in the Focus Plaza in Monterey Park on Valley (haven't been to that one), and one in Tustin "Jamullah". If you're travelling southbound on Tustin Ranch Rd, when it deadends (near the 5) make a left, it's on your right side.

Sorry I don't have addresses for these - I just go there....

La Cave is a nice place to check out off of 17th in Newport. It's pretty cool how it's underneath a Blockbuster video.

Dar Maghreb. 7651 Sunset Blvd. in Hollywood. 323 876 7651. Looks a bit pricey though.

Yep, I'm inclined to agree on the Muslim Chinese thing. The onion bread requires that you order 15 min. in advance (call ahead or wait if you don't mind.) Any of the soups (e.g. lamb) with the "home make" noodles are awesome.
