You really need to get the HDs, the EDs, resolution 852 X480, not enough for DVD, for cable TV maybe. Obviously the EDs cannot compare with the LCDs.

I will stay within the topic posted. If you are planning to get a big screen rear projection, the only 2 brand that you should look at are Pioneer and Mitsubishi. Stay away from the Sony. From my own experiences, I own a 4 yr. old Pioneer Elite and bought my parents a Sony XBR at nearly the same time. After 2-3 yrs, the Sony picture looks like crap. In fact, it was never clear or sharp to begin with. But the Pioneer still looks awesome after 4 yrs. Go figure!

I mentioned Mitsubishi because almost everyone I know like their TVs.

I've got a 73" Mitsubishi 1080p DiamondVision. It is way overkill for my eyes. Too bad nothing outputs 1080p :-(

Anyone know a good TV tuner in the area? Mine still hasn't been tuned even once.

What about LDC Projection v.s DLP ?

Or to be more exact Sony LCD 60in v.s Samsung 61 DLP...which one would you buy?
