Default what type of grease

What type of grease to use to grease my "pivot cover" and the bottom of my shifter? Thanks

My concern is some getting around the rubber/leather type components.

I guess something friendly with other materials is important here. If it were me and it didn't make contact with anything else... I'd just use what I had at the time. I like Marine grease and assembly lube 50/50 mixture for applications like this because it'll keep water out and do the job still. Maybe just some white lithium is fine too?

so should i use the Honda HI Temp grease or just go to pep boys and get some lithium grease?

all the people at honda are ..........................................retard. i did just that and they told me to get the "shin-etsu grease" but i read on the forum that's for the rubber seals on the soft top.

^ correct it is. However not to say it doesn't have other uses.
