I just don't get it!

From Day one with this camera Panasonic DMC-FZ7 (yes, i know it is not the high end thing that I should get, But I thought it should have gotten the job done with at least taking pictures of my family and basic cars and what not)

I just can't get this camera to shoot clearly! all images come out blurry, and crappy. I spent the afternoon trying to take some decent pictures, and basically none of them except 1 or 2 came out "alright"

here are a couple shots in there taken by my basic, Kodak Megapixel camera, in the same lighting and basically I have given up on this Panasonic.

Can I have some tips please? This camera has quite a lot of settings that I can adjust through the menu, but I just keep getting confused when I try too. I am a little
when it comes to this stuff. Just basically new Should I sell this camera?

You would think that hitting the default would reset this!

What do you think is an optimal setting for the shutter speed for taking still shots? Please?

It really depends on the lighting...I would like to see what the setting was for some of the pictures...especially the ones of your kid. We need a little more info to really be able to help you out.

shutter or exposure setting is too high...reset to factory defaults and you'll be set.

I was thinking of that too when I took these shots today. So, I went ahead and did the stone age thing. I laid my camera on a parking block, and didn't move it at all. It didn't seem to help either

APLUS2K, Thank you too! I would post up more pictures. However, Ever since she was born.. I try to just use the Kodak because it is a guaranteed good shot Let me see what I can find in my HD.

I have to reset my computer now damn vista again. When you ask it to do too many tasks, it just keeps from acting normal. like, i can not right click an image now. Not till I go and reset it. be back in a few

iso maybe too high as well. make sure aperature is on the lowest number and you should be golden

I just reset to factory specs, still doing this crap.

I hope it is not a problem with the camera itself I got a super BC deal it was the floor model. Got it for close to $100.

The components of your camera were made in several different countries. So, threatening it in English can be lost on it. It's best to learn some harsh language in Chinese and Japanese if you really want to insult your camera and make it work properly.

Also, it wouldn't hurt to pick up material on photography and really get to know how shutter speeds work with aperture settings... among other things.
