Default What happens to lost phones?

If you were to lose your phone and do an insurance claim through asurion, and then find the phone that you lost, would you still be able to use that lost phone?

Do they put that lost phone on any sort of blacklist or anything?
I've been told that you can use it again after a little while, and I've also been told that the phone is blacklisted. I'm trying to find out which is true.

This is for Verizon. Any information would help. Thanks.

From when i used to sell phones (sprint and verizon) lost/stoeln phones are blacklisted and are dead.. if the phone gets turned in then they clear the esn again and use it as a refurbished.

I had to return a phone bought on ebay because of this. luckily for me, the seller was honest and I got a full refund.

So basically, you can't use a phone that's been lost and found?

Correct.. for CDMA once it's reported as lost/stolen its dead.. so it is very important if you were to purchase a new phone that you request the ESN (electronic serial number) from the seller so that you can call verizon or sprint to see if it is a clear ESN...

if you phone or stole the phone.. well you are shit out of luck..
