Default What beach is a good place for bbq?

what is a good beach, i'd say + or - 30 miles from Santa Monica that has pits and decent water? i never noticed, but can i just bring a weber or a portable out to any beach or not?

i want to have a beach bbq before it starts to get too cold. i'm willing to drive further too but not too much.

I don't know how great the water is, but Dockweiler beach has fire pits and isn't too far from Santa Monica.

Some more info.

i thought about that place, but is there one a little less ghettoish. i go to hermosa/manhattan all the time and when i pass that place all i see are cholos.

That's what I thought the first time I went there. But I've been there a few times now and have always had a good time. The fire pits are widely spaced, so other parties will barely be noticeable.

Also, I'm not certain what the policy on beach BBQ's are in LA, but I think that Dockweiler is the only place that allows a fire on the beach. Don't take my word for that, though. In any case, it's the only place you can raise a bonfire and that means a lot of BBQ fun.

You can lit a fire in huntington also, but again, the beach is more ghetto than manhattan. and wear something to the pits, dumbarse burns old wood all the time, all the nails from the 2 by 4 is in the sand waiting to penerate a hole in you foot
