So, I need some advice guys. I can get a really good deal on an OEM soft top for $650. I think it retails over 1k?

But I'm not sure what it comes with? I believe it doesn't come with motor. I'm trying to figure out what is the easiest to install. I read a post that back-cracker posted a couple months ago about someone's used soft top, saying:

"That is just the CLOTH portion, there is no motor and frame. Without the motor and frame, you'll need to take everything apart, RE-RIVET everything. (8+ hours)

With his setup, selling it as a WHOLE, its unscrew, take out, Drop in and play. (2.5 hours)"

So, do you think for $650, I am buying just the cloth portion? If it's just the cloth portion, then how much do you think a shop will charge to install it? TIA.

Also, if anyone is selling a soft top with motor and frame or knows someone who is, please let me know. thanks.

I bought my car while it still contain a 4" tear.
Twice in my life, I had to slash my own top.
The best and cheapest solution is to sew it back with some black thread. It's not that hard and after the 2nd time, I no longer fear the haters.

Need a quick answer, are the 02-03 soft tops exactly the same as the 04 soft top?

The whole assembly and everything.
