Wow How ridiculus! Just slash a top for kicks

Whats next? At least steal something and make it more worthwhile

person X: Hey man, I just slashed a top of a car

person Y: well, what did you get from the car?

person X: Nothing, just for fun.

person Y: Ohh tight! what a great pastime

Sorry to hear man, this just pisses me off so much

Garbage Grove.

Thanks for the sympathy guys. I did a search for "slashed" on s2ki and it looks like I'm just one of many victims.

So, for the time being, is duct tape a good solution? And I might go the hardtop route, but how would that work with insurance? Won't I have to pay for a hardtop out of pocket?

in regards to insurance..the parts and labor required to replace a softtop is still much less than buying hardtop. if you have a really cool insurance adjuster...they may cut you a check for the cost of a softop/labor and you can front the difference for a hardtop

You could go to an upholstery shop and they could patch it for you. Thats what I did. Paid 30.00 for it. The patch held up great during the rain we had recently.

Duct tape is ALWAYS a good solution. When putting down wood/laminate floors, you tape the seems of the vapor barrier with DUCT tape because it's waterproof.

Duct tape for the win!
