Default Weekend trip to Idyllwild

Just drove to Idyllwild - spent two nights at a B & B (can give helpful tips as where to stay, eat, and play to those who are interested) heavy traffic Friday night up 79 through Hemet - came back Sunday morning through Anza to Fallbrook. Down hill was sweet. Unpacked in Fallbrook and spent day in Temecula. Did not take pictures, though I had my camera on board. Saw 3 S-2ks - one coming into Fallbrook on my way out Friday late afternoon (Grey). one following CHP - right behind him (silver) Sunday morning on way to accident (that is highway patrol - was) east of Anza - south of Idyllwild and one guy cruising through Temecula alone (White) Sunday afternoon. Still low miles 850 after 2 and half months. I would go to Julian with the Inland Empire group on Dec. 11th- I'll see if my wife will join me. Not interested in the Palomar detour, did that Mt. a month ago - went up to a camp at 2 PM and came down at 10 PM -- CHP sits at top watching traffic coming and going. Going to post this as a general message on the board under Weekend trip to Idyllwild. P.S. Photos will be taken next outing; but in the mean time -- I'm the guy with the Avocado on the front license plate of a Red S2K. It says I'm a guest, but I know I'm a member- Thanks.

I did the same trip the day after Thanksgiving and it was great.
Taking a loop on highway 74 up from Palm Desert up and over descending into Banning.
I started out in Palm Springs and it was around 90 miles round trip.
With a stop in Idyllwild for a picnic at the really nice county park and a little shopping at a local Holiday Bazaar in the Town Hall and off down the hill.
This is a great road for the S2000. From nearly sea level to 6,500 elevation and the car never let on that we was a climbing.
Great turns to sweep, wonderful changing climate and terrain - just a super place to cruise.
