Default watch recomendations... friend is looking for

A friend is getting married and he wants a sick watch for his wedding gift from his father in law. He asked me... I have no idea... hit me with some. Wants a metal band and sport "ish" look like a Breightling or a Rolex ymaster ? what else is good in the style? Panarai?

the GMT and the Daylight panarai look cool

imo, those are so fashion oriented brands. if he is a genuine fan of watches, a classic swiss brand like, Patek, AP, Vacheron, Longines, Glashutte would be more suitable. or else just get a fossil; those look pretty cool these days.

I'm lovin' the Panarai's Rolexes are always good to own since prices go up 2-5% every year. Tag's are nice too and affordable enough to beat around in.

Panarai would be a nice second watch. I agree with the poster mentioning Vacheron. Ulysse Nardin is along the same lines.
