Warning for peer to peer sharers
Hey guys, just wanted to share my personal experience.
I was out of town for a bit and my room mate informed me that the internet was down. I told him to reboot the router etc.,, but still, it was not working, until I got tired of him and I just made up something like there must be something wrong with the wireless router. This was about a month and a half ago, today I came home, called time warner cable and they told me that my service has been "quarantined" and told me that somebody has downloaded the movie "Legion" from my internet account maybe through bit torenns or some other peer to peer sharing network.
I got a warning and reactivated my internet.
Just FYI for the community

its the companies that own the movies/shows that are putting decoy copies out there, and tracing the torrent file. then they FORCE the internet provider to give you a warning.
i dont have any advice, but i got the same notice a while ago. had the same symptoms of a bad connection for a bit then it popped up on my firefox startup page. i had to click to confirm receiving the warning.
