Not sure if the box office would have tickets for a Laker game. I would try Ticketmaster.com to secure them before, or use ebay.com.

Things to do, add Griffith Park Observatory to that list IMO.
craigslist is the best.

I swear there was a thread very similar to this a couple months ago... TO THE SEARCH BOX!

Edit: mission failed, couldn't find it.

The beaches here are cool, also disneyland, Universal studios, PCH, laguna, newport, and San diego are worth a visit.

craigslist is horrible for any type of tickets imo, especially for someone out of town, too many scammers that take your money and give you fake tickets.

Gota go to in-n-out burger if you come to cali. I work at a hotel too so you have no idea how many foreign guests bash on hamburgers. It's because nobody can make em as good as the US, but yes in-n-out burger for sure.

Actually true... but most of the time you can find a decent deal if you dont chase after "too good to be true" type of deals.

If you are staying at the Marriott in Downtown LA, after watching a Lakers game, you can go grab a burger at Tommy's. BTW, one way drop off charge from the car rental company is around $150, last time I did a one way rental.

thanks heaps for the tips so far guys !

Im a massive sneaker head (Air Jordans) so i will be on the hunt for some when i am there .

And definitely looking at going to an NBA Game . Is it hard to get tickets ? is it possible to just rock up on game day and score tickets at the box office ?

I work for Marriott in Australia, so i will be staying at Marriott hotels across the US.

Yeah, planning on going on the Hollywood tour etc
If you are a sneaker head go to little tokyo there is rif and some other store located inside the plaza.

I recommend you see some of are beautiful roads/canyons. If you are going to Vegas you should take Angeles crest route before you get on the 15
